A Field Guide to the North American Family is both a traditional codex book and a collaborative website. Together, they offer a multifaceted, multimedia, and (above all) collaborative look at the way we live now. The book, a novella by Garth Risk Hallberg, presents a narrative that can be read in the traditional linear fashion or, it functions as an actual field guide as well. The website (by yours truly) allows readers to contribute by uploading their own photos documenting The North American Family.
