Chicago Avenue Moon
Chicago Avenue Moon is a generative music app that responds to date, time, lunar phase, GPS, etc, to determine how its music unfolds, in real-time. The iOS app manipulates, sequences, and layers 1000+ brief musical phrases to create trillions and trillions of variations, unique to the listeners movement and place on the planet.

I've been working with app developer Junecloud, and we just went live in the App Store yesterday! This is maybe the neatest thing I've ever been involved with and am super excited to share it.

Note: Requires iOS7. And the app is huge so download when you have wifi and 15 minutes to spare. Also, the piece responds to GPS movement, so it may seem a little underwhelming if you're just standing still; try it walking around, or train/bus/car/etc.

Thanks!

I so want this (maybe minus the GPS part?) for other platforms.

Yeah I would really love a Windows (sorry) version of this to run on my computer.

Unfortunately versions for other platforms is a ways off, if ever. This thing is unbelievably complicated under-the-hood, and we'd need a ton of interest to even consider development... Sorry!

A totally beautiful project that got me ruminating on our ongoing fascination with the moon and its (our) moods. Nice work!
