Blorpy: Interesting stories found in comments
Internet comments are a cesspool, but I love them. I've been finding and sharing an interesting comment, mostly ones that tell a great personal story, every day for almost the last year at blorpy.com. Some are from Metafilter, some from Reddit and some from Quora. Example posts: More about my reasoning and my thoughts on comments in general here: Comments Aren't Crap

Brilliant idea. With anonymity on the web, people share far more then they would if their identities were published. This leads to so many sincere and genuine first-account stories that I've personally loved reading.

The community that I found most incredible for these sort of things is in the r/IAMA subreddit.

Really liked this one.

This is a great idea. I like that these tiny anecdote stories are generally too small and too personal to appear anywhere but comments, or possibly over some drinks in a pub.

I like these, I've always wanted to see a site like this, but specifically for forum post of the mid-2000s. There were so many more amazing stories being spun back in those days than now imo, or at least I noticed them more.
