Your First Dollar Spent
This idea was started a few years ago on New Year's Eve, when I decided that the first dollar I would spend on New Year's Day would go to charity. I mentioned it on Facebook, and over the years more and more people have joined this "movement".
I've been slowly trying to gather interest in the idea (via social media outlets) because most of the people I've mentioned it to really like it.
Your First Dollar Spent doesn't require anything to participate...nobody needs to sign up for anything (though you can "Like" or "Share" the Facebook page if you're so inclined). I just really dig the idea that the first act of spending in the new year can be spent on other people.
