GRARchiver
GRARchiver is a small python script that archives all your Google Reader read items. You need to know how to use python to use it.
It is currently quite limited, but allows you to have a JSON archive of your google reader read items.
This contains the full content, including the RSS item text, but not images. If you have read items from sites that have disappeared from the internet, it should still be in there.
Besides archiving in a text-based format, this has limited use for the moment - but I hoping one of the google reader replacement service will be able to import this at some point, so that I could still search on it.
Note that it generates a huge archive file. I have 170000 read items, and ended up with a 640Mb file.
