John Roderick Plays a Potluck
This winter, we invited John Roderick of Seattle band The Long Winters and the Roderick on the Line podcast over for a potluck dinner. He played a few songs, told some stories, and ate all of the food. A few of those moments have been put together into a video collection called "More Than Shapes," named for a song and a story from that evening.
We rigged up the house with professional recording equipment and cameras, and captured what ended up being a pretty unforgettable evening of songs and stories; a sort of indie-rock VH-1 Storytellers.
Roderick is a well-known Seattle musician and raconteur. In addition he writes a regular column for The Seattle Weekly, and has most recently been a touring companion for John Hodgman and Jonathan Coulton.
