AE Turns One, Releases Free Ebook, Throws Party.
AE - The Canadian Science Fiction Review, of which I am the editor and co-founder, has now been publishing free Creative Commons SF continuously for one year. In celebration, we are releasing our first issue as a free ebook (Kindle and EPUB) and throwing a party in Toronto.
The AE #1 ebook includes the short story "Touch The Sky, They Say" by Matt Moore, which is a current nominee for the 2011 Prix Aurora. Like all our stories, it can also be read for free on our website.
Other notable stories from our first year include:
"Last Words" by MetaFilter's own C.B. Brown (of "The Darth Side" and "Simon of Space" internet-fame)
"The Death Collector" by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
and the first ever English translation of French-language classic "La promenade du garçon boucher" by Jacques Barbéri
