Filthy Ditty: Daily text experiments in April 2011
Nominally in celebration of National Poetry Month, I challenged myself to make one experimental text a day in April 2011. It was a lot of fun, and I wanted to share the results with my fellow mefites. I thought these experiments in particular might be of interest: blackout poems made from Magic: the Gathering cards; dithered bitmaps of the average Unicode character; a Chrome extension that randomly scrambles the poetry "subjects" on; and Nintendo ROMs with words replaced at random (Faxanadu, in particular---with video!).

A few more of my favorites: generating new characters from a Markov chain model of pixel columns; LUCKY, a word-based card game prototype; exploded letterforms made with cellular automata; and famous poems mashed up with foursquare venue tips ("Forgive me / they were delicious too! / so sweet and accommodating. / and so cold medicine).

Here's a loosely categorized list of all thirty experiments.

Someone posted a link on the Z2 zzt forums, and I've been following it since. These are some really clever experiments!
