Bookmarked. Hope you feature Murakami soon. I love the covers of his books.

Very keen!

Two questions: is it your intention that the whole images don't fit in each frame, making layers of scrolling? I like the idea that you can't see who published the editions or where they were published, but it's a lot of scrolling.

Also, could you add artists for the covers? Or is that information generally not so easy to find?

Hey filthy light thief, that seems odd. I don't know what technical questions to ask you but no, that's not the intention. The images actually resize to fit the browser when using Firefox and IE so I don't know what's going on, sorry!

And yeah, finding the cover artists would be beyond my abilities. Sometimes it's not even easy for English-language books.

Thanks again, Metafilter! I have over 80 followers now! And people are tweeting about airportbookstore! With their tweets! It's amazing.

Aha! It's a script thing. I was blocking tumblr scripts, and when I allowed them, the site looked wonderful!

Have you considered adding a link to or a summary of the book (the inside or back cover blurb, approximately)? Some of these sound interesting but I don't know them yet. If you're already bothering to look up the images, this is a 30-second improvement.

Thank goodness your taste is better than the average airport bookstore. (Whatzit has spent way too much money on over-priced crap books in sheer desperation.)
