RadioCollective.org: crowd-sourced non-commercial web radio.
After a couple months of working on the college radio map project, I had accumulated more favorite shows than I could keep track of (see?). My friends convinced me that with some effort we could build a calendar of awesome shows spanning 24/7. Well, after countless hours of listening to shows and asking DJs for recommendations, our calendar now boasts 447 outstanding commercial-free programs and counting! We haven't been able to stop exploring since we realized how rewarding it is and we hope you'll join us.

If you have favorite radio shows to recommend, tell us! We'd also love original photos for the rotating background. You can find details about how to contribute on the site. If you encounter bugs or have any feedback or questions or want to work with us please speak up!: info@radiocollective.org

Great idea and great site. Have you thought about color coding the shows for the genre of music they tend to play?

Thanks! We talked about it but a lot of these freeform shows are impossible to classify. Right now the hover box shows a brief description that is usually helpful. I definitely think a music / 'talk' distinction could make sense once we gather more 'talk' shows.
