Texture: a collaborative manual for the design professions.
Hi! First project! It's really just a skeleton at this point, but there's potential. Basically, it's a wiki for designers of all kinds to pool their collective knowledge. Eventually, I see it as an open curriculum for design students, a free reference manual for the professions, and a comprehensive and authoritative store of design knowledge: a wikipedia for designers.

The MediaWiki install is live, and I've pulled in a smattering of CC-licensed material as a seed, but it needs a lot more content before it reaches critical mass. If anyone out there has design knowledge to share that is too specific or jargon-y or original-research-y for wikipedia, it would be welcome here! Architects, graphic designers, game designers, industrial designers -- all are welcome.
