Put This On
Put This On is a new web series (and website) about men's style for men who want to dress like grownups. I'm the host/producer, Adam Lisagor (aka LonelySandwich) is the director/cinematographer/editor/producer as well as an on-camera contributor. We just finished our first episode, and are looking, eventually, to get some money together to make more.

I watched it this afternoon and really, really enjoyed it. As someone who has been really against the Esquire aesthetic for a long time, I appreciated the ways in which you made style a personal thing (the idea of wearing yourself into a pair of jeans, for example, is just perfect). The show wins where it convinces the viewer to care about style because style can be an extension of the self. The LonelySandwich cutaways also worked really well.

In the future, I would like a little bit more of a focus on some lower-price stuff. I know I'm a little bit of a cheapskate, but I'd like to know, for example, the ten things I should look out for the next time I walk into a Goodwill (or, in this case, what I can wear with jeans besides a t-shirt). The blog has done a good job of that with E-Bay highlights, and what you were wearing during the show helped too, but some of us need some more on-the-nose hints.

Really smooth and interesting piece. And I'm still staggered by your answer to the laundry question! I know I won't be showing this video to my jeans-loving husband, though, because he would instantly lose interest at the mention of $500 jeans. l33tpolicywonk is not the only man out there that is "a bit of a cheapskate," ya know.

Excellent production values, and I think I'll finally step up to raw denim. I love jeans.

Meant excellently produced. I have no idea what the budget was.

The first episode was really nice! It felt like the Good Eats of clothes, full of DIY and little known tips, tricks, and techniques. Very nice, I love it.
