The non-partisan nonprofit Sunlight Foundation/Sunlight Labs recently announced the winning Apps for America entries, including Filibusted (First Place for $15,000), Legistalker (Second Place for $5,000), Know Thy Congressman, Hello Congress, e-Paper Trail, and many more (16 winners, 40+ entries).
All apps are open source and make use of at least one of the required APIs, which included the Sunlight Labs API , OpenSecrets.org API, FollowTheMoney.org API, and Capitol Words API.
