Undercover New York; New York's Street Performers
Showcasing (at the moment) Manhattan's Street Performers with an interactive google-map. Click on the buttons (where they play or where I chanced upon them) to see videos and photos of them. Also some contact details. It's just started, and I'm looking to improve.

At the moment google maps seems to crash Firefox when there are movies embedded in it. If anyone knows what that's about I'd appreciate it. I'm also looking for more street performers in New York. If you know of one or are one yourself, message me. Finally, I'm wondering about intellectual property rights of street performers; I'm not selling or advertising, there is no membership etc, I'm just sharing my interest in their art, and perhaps getting them a little business. Could they sue me?

Something that would make this more comprehensive is if you provide a way for others to submit their sightings as well. With just you, it's going to remain limited to the parts of town you go to regularly.

Any idea how one might be able to do that on the cheap? I selected the blog format because I could basically set it up for free.

I'm going to start a page where people can upload their own stuff. There are limits in Wordpress: initial review shows other people can't easily upload videos or photos onto a page. I'm sure there's an html fix, but anyway...

When people upload stuff, I'll have to confirm it's okay, and then it'll be up. They just have to register with me.

You think that will cover it?
