World Book was a favorite reference resource of mine as well. It's delightful to see the 1969 pages again.

One question -- have you checked to be sure you are abiding by copyright requirements? After publication with notice, copyright protection lasts 28 years (in this case until 1997), and then in most cases the work receives an automatic extension of 67 years for a second term of copyright protection (in this case, hypothetically until 2064). See here.

If you haven't already, you may wish to have World Book vet your project or get advice from an intellectual property expert about your site.

I love this! My dad sold WB door to door so we got a crisp new set every year. I remember how tv pages stuck together at first.

terranova, I have only checked to see if this might constitute Fair Use and, uh, maybe it does... The pages are posted for the purpose of commentary, I don't receive money from ads, etc.

But since IANAL, it might be good to check with a copyright lawyer and/or World Book, as you suggest. Thanks!
