Should I? Can I? Is it safe?

I'm thinking of actually turning this into a useful reference about food safety topics that are endlessly discussed here.

Yeah, but then askme will only be about computers, relationships, money, and travel.

Dear Askme, how many weeks is my fresh spinach good for? It's starting to look like the canned stuff, my roommate calls this putrefaction, but it looks yummy to me! Should I eat this?

I'd miss those posts.
