The MODERN Institute: Distance Learning Center
My colleague and I have created a Moodle-based free online resource for teachers of ESL/EFL (English as a foreign/second language).
In our research we found that there are a tonne of teacher aid / activity sites out there, but the vast bulk of them are a) crap or b) paid. We've used our experience as English teachers and teacher trainers to provide tested, effective lesson ideas for anyone, for free.
The main meat is in the "Teaching Tips" course, which is open to guests - the key to enter is "freestuff". We are doing a core dump of everything we have ever learned about English teaching there, the amount of material available is already huge, and it is being frequently updated and added to.
I know there aren't a lot of EFL teachers here, but please do pass this link along to anyone in the business that you think might benefit from it.
