Gone - 3D animation
I ineffectively spent about a year and a half animating an ambiguous story devoid of anything that could possibly generate significant audience interest. And I did it with dumb amounts of passion and pride, despite the many obstacles along the way. The result is a humble black and white film of geometric figurative abstraction, perhaps best described as a visual poem about love, loss, and longing. Make sure you watch the high(er) quality version by clicking the link right below the video on the right hand side.
While I have done some small animations here and there in the past, and started one or two films, this is the first proper animated short film I have ever completed. I used this project to learn the software, and will move on to a more light-hearted concept next. Hopefully it won't take me as long. If you think this was worth watching, please don't hesitate to share the link with your friends, as I suspect I'll need all the word-of-mouth I can get for this thing to not get completely ignored. I realize it's not exactly Michael Bay's brand of explosive entertainment, but I think it will be interesting or beautiful to a select few.
I also composed the music you hear in the background. I will post that to MetaFilter Music within the next couple of weeks.

Nice work. The images and the music work very well together. It's very sad.

I like it a lot. The scene with the chalk is brilliant.
Also, I thought "Prizeless Productions" was a great pun, and then I saw someone criticizing it in the youtube comments, so I wanted to bring it up for balance: it's a great name.
