Prixfeed is a tiny one-page app that lets you create an RSS2.0 feed of an Amazon product's price - which you can then susbcribe to with your RSS reader and get updated whenever the price changes. The product data in the feed is machine readable, so you can build projects on top of it, like email alerts, graphs etc. Here are some details on how it works.
