UX Launchpad

Hello! UX Launchpad is a one day design course in Seattle. The event is built with non-designers in mind, and so far we've had a great blend of developers, PMs, fine artists, and interaction designers looking to learn more. Classes are designed to be small and hands-on.

Design Play Seattle

A lot of conferences are overwhelming, so I'm putting together a gathering for 20 people. It will be next summer in Seattle. Creative folks of all kinds are welcome; we have a lot more than 20 people who have expressed interest but I'm looking for as much of a range as possible. [more inside]

"Is It Relevant?"

I recently gave a talk about great design can be counter-productive. It was part of "IxD Bauhaus", an event discussing an approach to interaction design that my team (Windows Phone design) is using. And in the talk I kinda call out Windows Phone as an example of great, but perhaps counter-productive design. [more inside]
