The Bodies of Walton County
I've lived in a lot of places, but never one with this many bodies.

True stories from my community.

Paradise Falls - A search for a body in my neighbor's yard leads to an interesting conversation with the local lawman.

The Trailers - My husband discovers a terrible link between the neighborhood and his childhood friend.

Come and Take It - The display of a Confederate flag prompts a serious conversation with the neighbors.

Andy's Bananas - My tenant asks me not to rent the house next door to the people who murdered his son.

1-800-Ben's Coffins - Plans to attend a Trump rally are interrupted by a death in the neighborhood.

This End of the Street - You may have rats, but at least you're white.

Buried - For a county with "repent" signs nailed to all its pine trees, we sure are an unapologetic lot.

Wonderful writing. I grew up just east of Atlanta and didn’t know those stories. I look forward to the next column.
