The Movie Crash Course
Being the blog of an ordinary movie buff, unschooled in film for the most part, who is attempting to watch (or rewatch as the case may be) and review each and every one of the films that has ever been in any edition of the 1001 Movies To See Before You Die.

This project started out as discrete posts on my own general-yammering blog, but the project quickly got big enough that it needed its own room. As of this writing (late February 2019) the existing posts are all things that previously appeared on that other blog; going forward it will be new content.

As of this writing I am just about to get into the films of the 1940s (Casablanca, Gone With The Wind and Citizen Kane have been covered). Reiterating that my list includes any movie that has ever been in any edition of the 1001 Movies To See Before You Die book, and at present stands at more like 1,210 movies.

Hat-tip of thanks to Mefi's own asavage, who inadvertently nudged me to do this by simply making a general passing comment in a podcast about two years ago (not, like, to me, I hasten to add, but to the world at large).

Great idea! Interesting reviews and a nicely-designed site.

Thanks! I'm starting to get into all the film noir stuff now, which has lead to really interesting conversations in my apartment (my roommate studied film and every so often will watch something with me and talk shop).
