peaceful, easy gmail
New Gmail sucks and I hate change. So I used someone else's userstyle and made a Gmail that is incredibly mellow (and yes, a little broken). You can use it if you want. No warranty expressed or implied.
To make this work.
- Install Stylish or Stylus on your browser (turn off all the "phone home" parts of Stylish if you care about such things
- go to the browser add-on and click "Add/Write new Style"
- copy and paste the text from the link I gave you
- go see if Gmail is better for you.
Works on desktop. I use Firefox. No idea if it works other places. You can try User Styles if you want to try other New Gmail options. I started with this one. Twitter thread here shows a picture.

I don't get shopping/promotion email and I don't get social media email (or I pre-fiter it into folders) so I never need them!

Gmail's Simple Html Mode is lightning fast and there's no unnecessary nonsense

I'm using it all the time now, I just drop back into Standard mode if I need fancy formatting (which is rare)
