The Opposite of Forecasting
Using real time weather data collected in Austin, TX, I've created a piece of music that streams online.

The weather station is located at Emma Long Park, in Austin, TX. It sends data to Ambient Weather, which I pull using a simple python script onto a Raspberry Pi. The Pi then loads the data into a music programming language called SuperCollider. This makes decisions about what music is then played.

There's a whole lot more information on the website, but I think the best way to experience it is by listening to it for a short bit during a few different times of the day.

Super nice!

The percussion reminds me of friendly little Young Marble Giants songs.

this is so, so good. I’m really curious about how the sound will change- it would be really cool if it was possible to switch between weather stations.

Thanks all!

@velebita - I would like to in the future install some more weather stations and set up broadcasts for those locations. That's very much a long term goal, though!

I really enjoy this. I think a mate of mine might really love it too. Thanks
