Clips for Hiking Poles with Hinge and Clasp
3D model of clips with a simple hinge and tension clasp. I designed these for my partner, who uses hiking poles for mobility but does not need to use both at all times. These clips allow a person to carry an unneeded pole on the one being used, keeping the other hand free.

Printed on a LulzBot TAZ 5, but designed to be printed on lower-resolution printers in a reasonable amount of time.

Special thanks to all of the volunteers at the Maker Hub at the Eugene Public Library for making this project possible, and to Mariah for support and field-testing!

My stars, what an excellent implementation! I've been looking for this for more than a decade.

Does the diameter of the poles matter?
