Documenting a local tradition's full menu
I'm trying to eat the entire menu at my local beachfront Chinese restaurant.

This is a Chinese restaurant that is the home of the Chop Suey Sandwich, only available in Salem, Massachusetts. It's famous for it's Tender Steak With Cheese sandwich. And it makes a pretty decent hamburger. So this isn't your typical Chinese takeout (although it also kind of is, which is even better!)

I'm documenting this local institution (it's at least 60 years old, and probably a lot more than that), and bringing a little attention to them on Instagram, as well.

I love this!

Unless it would ruin the purity of your instagram (one photo per menu item), I'd like to see more wide context pictures - what does the whole restaurant look like? How far is it from the beach? Are there picnic tables full of people happily eating chop suey sandwiches?

Ah, this is great! This is right at Salem Willows, right? I always wondered what the Chop Suey sandwich tasted like, but not enough to buy one on the way to buy popcorn bars down the way.

Yeah, right at the Willows.

You should definitely get a chop suey sandwich. It's about the best possible version of whatever you think $2 worth of hamburger bun and bean sprouts could possibly taste like.

And the popcorn bars are good, the but the regular popcorn is better.

Love this! Disagree with you about Diet Coke though...
