What Now?
Website to gather and disseminate ideas on ways to fight back against bigotry, hate, ignorance and harmful policies in the wake of the 2016 election. Intended to connect people with helpful ways to direct their energy, time and money in support of a brighter future for everyone.

After the 2016 election of Donald Trump as the next President of the United States, damages to U.S. democratic ideals have already begun to accrue. Our group of friends found this incredibly disconcerting. We believe that anyone threatened by Trump - both explicitly and implicitly - deserves our support, and that our democracy and its ideals can only thrive if we as citizens stand up and protect it.

This website is the result of us looking for a way to fight back against bigotry and hate. We wanted to help answer the question that many of us are already asking ourselves: "What Now?" We hope to build a comprehensive site that helps worried people answer that question and take action. Now is the time to get involved in your democracy, and stay involved through 2018, 2020 and beyond.

Cool! I see you have a "submit an idea" form. Is there some way to see the list of ideas already on the site?

The site is just a few days old, so there aren't that many ideas yet. There isn't a place to see all of them at once, although it's something that might be worthwhile to add. For now, the categories and random button should show most of the ideas so far.

See also Togetherlist. They describe themselves as a "comprehensive database of women’s rights, POC, LGBT+, immigrant, Muslim-American and climate change advocacy groups that need your support."

Not quite sure what their end goal is—obviously there are many worthwhile causes and organizations not represented—but maybe worth a gander/reaching out.

There's also holy fuck the election for an "alternative" content strategy.
