10000 YEARS
A found poetry/ruins exploration game about a mysterious facility in the desert, inspired by this article about creating a nuclear waste disposal site so that it's left undisturbed for ten thousand years. The trailer can be found here!

That was a really neat experience! Worth playing for the ASCII textures alone.

I love the mumble audio for the human dialogue, BTW.

This post about the infamous WIPP design document was one of the first really fascinating articles that drew me into reading MeFi on the regular, and this is a brilliant and haunting interpretation of that grim thought experiment. Excellent work!

(One tiny nitpick: the "type IRL to advance text on the screen" mechanic is a fun 30-second gimmick, but not as the only way to progress through a game. Maybe tweak it so that holding down a key does the same thing?)
