Most Recipes are Rated 4 or 5 Stars. This is my attempt for finding the Best of the Best. I have a large (~1 million recipes) database of recipes and ratings from popular recipe websites. Most recipes are rated a 4.5-5 on average, and most site encourage these high ratings. This makes it hard to distinguish between good and great recipes. I made a website that that takes the top 1% most highly rated recipes from each website in my database.

How it works: I had a spider index popular recipe websites. For example their are many recipes on a site that have 4.7 stars, but very few that have 4.8 or 4.9 stars with many reviews. My site only shows that top 1%. I normalize each recipe site, so sites like epicurious which have a rating system the encourages lower ratings have a lower threshold than others.
Role: I did everything
