Clack Colander
The Clack Colander is a calendar in the shape of a clock. Take a look.

There is already a thing called a colander. It is not this thing.

I'm not sure of it's actual functionality, but for the part of me that likes to do easy things the hard way, I like it.

This is really, really confusing. Maybe a visual description with arrows or something for the slow like me? Also yeah, the "colander" in the name doesn't really make sense given what a colander actually is.

You lost me here: "So November 13th will be 1 + 12 = 1 + 7 + 5 = Wednesday. Voila!"

You'll need to unpack that.

Now I kind of want a combination clock/calendar made out of a colander.

This assumption, - Now we assume Monday=1, Tuesday=2, Wed=3, Thu=4, Fri=5, Sat=6 and Sun=7 is not held true later on, here: - So November 13th will be 1 + 12 = 1 + 7 + 5 = Wednesday. Voila!

I get what happened, reducing the calculation by factoring out weeks. Day one is a Friday, so day 8 is also a Friday, plus five days is the 13th—Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. But yeah you've gotta re-type those instructions a bit, editing for internal consistency and unpacking the equation a bit.

As a brain-stretching exercise it's sufficiently ill-explained to be interesting, for now. But intuitiveness and improvement on the status quo aren't clicking for me.

Take a look now folks. If it still confuses you, lemme know.

Cognitive ergonomics fail. Sorry, you absolutely need to include an explanation.

Yeah, nothing doing for me at all. I just don't get it. Plus I don't think it would strain my pasta very well.
