Parliamentarian: the web game of parliamentary democracy
For several months now, my first online game, Parliamentarian, has been in a playable testing phase. Even after months of testing, it's still a little rough around the edges, but our small player base seems to enjoy it. The game could use some more players, though, which is why I turn to Metafilter Projects. Vote on bills, stand in elections, and guide your political party and state to dominance in a Dune-like science fiction setting. After signing up, you will have to wait for your state to hold new elections.

Well, that bug is now fixed, anyways. Thanks for giving me the bug report.

Well I've just created the News from Nowhere, a moderate anarchist-elitist party in Sabas. Now what?

theodolite: Wait for the next election. Then you'll have access to a wide variety of different bill options. Right now you can recruit notables to build yourself up.
odinsdream: Good suggestion, thanks. The game was originally aimed at people who had played a similar game (Particracy) but I guess it would help to have some kind of explanation.

SOme flashy graphics might help is seem more interesting. Also, maybe a link to see some of the game in progress, or a round of voting, or something that would let people know what to expect.

anadem: I decided to adopt the Dwarf Fortress approach to game design.
cjorgensen: If I could make graphics, I would :( There's only game at a time, and it's already in progress, and you can already click on "world" to view its status.
