I've been out photographing the street art of my North London neighbourhood again. This time, it's the wide range of angry, witty and often very creative protest stickers adorning every lamp-post and traffic sign round here. Targets of the 50+ stickers in my online gallery include climate change, male violence, NHS austerity, Brexit and increased police powers. Others I've chosen aren't protest stickers at all, but earn a place anyway simply because they made me laugh. [more inside]

I am a theater-maker & conceptual artist based in NYC (and online), and I've finally built up enough projects and confidence to list my highly weird streaming practice on my website, and thought I'd share it with MeFi Projects too. "grillcover" itself is a weird sort of thing: born in 1995 in the primordial swamps of AOL, it has been my internet avatar and proliferated on tons of web spaces since. One reason I finally collected the projects was because this week I've been rolling out my latest stunt: a live solo marathon speedrun of the Mueller Report. (to be clear, that article is "my" write-up lol) You can watch the whole thing on Twitch, or lightly edited versions of Volume I and Volume II, where I omitted the occasional breaks. And if you or anyone you know uses Twitch, I'd love to see you over on my channel! In general, my online practice is all about digging rabbit holes and making odd connections... I hope you enjoy it!

The Reclaim Pride Coalition (RPC) is a global group of organizations and individuals who are fighting to reclaim the NYC Pride March so that it better represents the LGBTQIATS+ community. Our 2019 March to Commemorate Stonewall's 50th Anniversary and World Pride will be a historic Human Rights and Social Justice march. I put together some thoughts about crowd dynamics, and what you can do to support a protest action you didn't necessarily intend to be swept up in.

I keep talking about songs to sing at protests, right? Well, here's a list of things that more or less seem to go over well, which I am currently curating and tweaking to hit the songs that seem to be most useful for the most people marching today. I'm aiming to keep this list relatively lean at under 50 songs so that it's a little easier to find something that works at any given moment, because existing lists seem sort of bloated and hard to organize. Works best if you have a paid version of Spotify that can use the "up next" feature to pick and choose what gets played when, and also maybe a portable bluetooth speaker. [more inside]

A satirical recruitment ad calling for trans women to join the military. I wrote and directed this to protest the recent prioritization of trans inclusion in the armed forces above and beyond all of our myriad concerns, something which happened on the say so of one billionaire with absolutely no dialogue with the larger trans community. Including actual-size height charts and short reviews of every Reacher novel according to my patented 4-D Reacher Review® system (Deadly/Daunting/Detective/Drifter).
