A bunch of ideas I've had tumbling around in my head for some time about science fiction, fear, isolation, and death, have finally gelled into an article looking at all of SF through the lens of Margaret Atwood's "Survival."

The second quarterly issue of our CC-licensed digital magazine AE – The Canadian Science Fiction Review debuts today, featuring the first ever English translation of French author Jacques Barbéri's 1985 piece "La promenade du garçon boucher" ("The Butcher Boy").
