The Lucille Ball book I wrote over my maternity leave
I wanted to share the update to the book I wrote over maternity leave -- it's a real book coming out in October!

Last summer, I asked MeFi about writing a book over my maternity leave, and got some fantastic advice.

The final product is a biography of Lucille Ball called A.K.A. Lucy: The Dynamic and Determined Life of Lucille Ball. I was also thrilled to be able to connect with the Lucy/Desi estate and have Amy Poehler write the forward for it, which was magical.

I incorporated lots of discipline and specific advice from other MeFites, and hope that others can find that thread if they're trying to tackle a similar project.

Thanks for all of your wonderful support in getting this done.

This is absolutely fantastic news! I remembered your question and I'm absolutely delighted by the outcome.

And a foreword by Amy Poehler! Wow!
