AMZN has an extensive open box and used outdoor gear selection, but searching it is a mess. I built a little tool to declutter the experience: trim out all the distractions and sponsored products, random low quality brands, etc... All wheat, no chaff.

Originally, I built down-river.net for my own use and snagged a sweet ultralight $35 Naturehike sleeping bag for my wife. When I started showing friends the app, they were all like, "Hey! I wanna use that!"

You guys are my friends, right? Down-river.net is a little clunky, but hopefully endearingly so... let me know if you use it to snag any good deals.

Cool project! Very much something I would use. But, it doesn’t seem to work on my old iPad. I assume the items on the list should be clickable, but they don’t respond to my tapping. Neither do the faq/talk links in the upper right corner.

Huh... that's weird. It's a React app, but I'd think if you saw the content, it would function. Does that happen with other websites?

No. Usually, if a site doesn’t like my old browser, it simply doesn’t load, or I get a “browser no longer supported” message. I don’t know if I’ve ever landed on a React site, so I can’t say if it’s just something particular to React, but I suspect it is.

Hmmm...Apparently the site does work after all. It just takes about 20-30 seconds to respond. I just need to practice a little patience LOL.
