News and Weather
This application starts your day with news and weather from weather.gov based on your zip code.

News plays from VOA, NPR, and Sky, and is updated hourly. You can even customize the start page to display your specific weather by adding your zip code to the end of the URL like this (ie, adding "?q=10001" to the end).

I really love this!

I used to have a shell script to fetch & distill the forecast, leaving as very lean output. I love that your also fetches news headlines! It'd make a dandy homepage for a phone.

Thank you wenestvedt! I am glad you are enjoying it! One of the features of this page is that it is entirely static, so if you download the page, it will still work locally as long as you are connected to the internet. I created it because I wanted a simple news and weather application in the simplest possible format and I thought others might be able to use it, too.
