object: murder is a hand-drawn comic about objects with murderous intent
object: murder is a light-hearted view of the dark secrets hidden in the hearts of the objects around us. Hand-drawn in five minutes or less; no take-backs. I've been doodling for as long as I can remember, alongside more serious pursuits — and sillier ones. I'm committed to maintaining some sort of hand craft in the digital age, and so object: murder is my attempt to keep my doodling muscles limber while bringing a little bit of lightness to other people's days.
I've posted the very first object: murder along with its "making of" video -- which I think is the best bit of the project at the moment, because you watch the crime unfold (so to speak!). It's a Patreon page, so the videos will become a higher-tier benefit at some point.
As it gets off the ground, I hope to bring my love of craft to the fore, perhaps moving beyond my trusty Sharpie into some new and different media, or doing bonus videos about printmaking, drawing, etc.
I chose Patreon because I'm interested in motivating myself to keep at it, and also curious about the model for other pursuits.
