Themes for a Lost City
a 25-minute EP of harsh, occasionally listenable ambient drone.

The catch is that other than a bit on IV that uses a software synth almost all of it are layers of ultraprocessed drum samples. The final track is the full EP, seamless.

For some reason, I also decided to do a website in preformatted text. Album covers included.

I love the website! (At work, but am also looking forward to listening when I get home.)

Thanks! I have been playing with the idea of making a website for years, but it was only when I saw neocities and was working on an old DOS database that everything clicked. For someone who mostly works in graphics, it was quite fun to do a website without them at all, and as a result, the whole thing is like 500kb - and this includes a second site I'm still working on (/90s) that uses black and white dithered gifs as images. ~

The idea is that eventually I'll make an early 2000s site - although if things go as I expect, it will be more of a joke with a small animation in HTML5, but the navigation will be completely broken with "flash_nav.swf not found" placeholders.

I especially appreciated the about section and how it walks through your background making music. Also, got a chance to listen to some of your music and I'm really digging it. Working my way through your soundcloud. Right up my alley.

And you should be sure to post if you get that site going.

By August I have a new album (it's pretty much done and could put it tomorrow on bandcamp with little regret), and at least the 90s site should be public-public, as opposed to "anyone following on neocities could see it", and of course I'll post both here.
