Walton Warumbo Universal Unlimited
So, I wrote this science fiction book about rum, labor unions, and stellar-spanning conglomerates, and I wanted to do something fun with the book's marketing. What would my heroine's former employer's website look like? One thing was for sure: it would have a bland yet menacing motto.

I have the coding skills of an unskilled frog, so I let the free WordPress theme I found do the work for me. I also used Creative Commons licensed photos. It took a day to knock it together, including the text. It was a fun distraction, and I hope it gives a bit of context for my book. I wanted to play in the same sandbox as Viridian Dynamics from Better Off Ted. Hope it worked.

Increase the amount of time text stays in your carousel or reduce the amount of text. It's maddening to try to read it and have it change while doing so. Also increase the font size.

Otherwise, fun.

Agree with cjorgensen.

OTOH, maybe potential employees with the correct genetic profiles etc. are able to read that quickly. Maybe they can also read the light text over light part of photograph with which I was having trouble. Guess it's indentured servitude for me :)

Menacing. You have achieved your goal!

Unless I've missed it, I don't see a link on the website to your book, which I think would be a good idea. Maybe on the bottom somewhere along with an explanation for those who stumble upon this randomly. Other than that, cool idea.

Outlawyr: there are links, but I will now make them a little more obvious.

cjorgensen and amtho: the slider is now slower for all of our non-augmented eyeballs.

Thanks!

The book is a nominee For The 2016 Philip K. Dick Awards

This may be the only Dick Award that's not a Dick Move. Congratulations, RakDaddy, and remember, it's an honor just to be nominated.
