Jupiter, Floating Islands of Grease, and Angeloids - A Serial Web Novel
Some time back I read how if there was life in Jupiter's atmosphere, it might live on floating islands of congealed hydrocarbons. Next thing I knew, I was writing a serial novel (new posts on M, W, F) with that as a starting point. Of course once you get humans living in Jupiter's atmosphere, humans modified to have wings becomes a short next step.

Role: Author
Well, given the current price of oil, probably not just to ship it back to Earth. But given you could put 100 Earths in the volume of Jupiter, you can imagine that there would be plenty of room to settle if you just wanted to give everyone some elbow room. Of course given the interesting chemicals and pressures of Jupiter, you can imagine various hydrocarbons and other items being produced there in ways that would make harvesting them profitable. Especially if you assume there is interplanetary flight for other reasons and so folks might need the ability to refuel, etc.

One thought I had is that of course I'm immediately curious over whether the angeloid has feathered bird-wings or leathery bat-wings or something else, which unless I missed it isn't in any of the parts posted so far. But you've probably got that planned for a future post.
