Boston Startups Guide
A searchable list of Boston-area startup companies, sortable by if hiring, industry, neighborhood, and more.

It's been almost two years since I started this (and posted it to projects.metafilter originally), and it's grown from a throwaway side project to a small hit with job seekers. I'm now tracking over 400 startups in the Boston area, with more on the way. I just revamped the back end to make the site faster for users and easier to review / add startups for me. It's gotten a bit of a facelift, and I'm starting a guides / blog section for more long-form content about the startup ecosystem here.

I'm super excited about the progress on it, and I'd love some fresh feedback. Anything from design improvement suggestions to ideas for what other info you'd like to see about startups (that I can reasonably and consistently get) to questions you have about the Boston startup scene.

This is awesome! As a potential job seeker, I'd love to see the ability to check boxes for the industry's represented rather than just look at one at a time. Can I see all the hiring start-ups in the Media, Advertising, and Customer Service industries? That kinda thing.

Unfortunately the template doesn't display pagination for these kind of multiple-term queries, which is one of the things it will take a bit to code. But if you're comfortable editing the URL, I hope that helps!
