Always Missing
I've been writing poems on craigslist missed connections, at first every day, although now somewhat more infrequently. I recently began collecting them in a single spot, at the wordpress site alwaysmissing.wordpress.com. I'd appreciate constructive feedback.

Thanks, I definitely think there are hits and misses among these. For what it's worth, I have my own favorites, as well: II, IV, VII, IX, XIII, XVI, XVIII, XIX, XXII, XXVII, XXXI, XXXVII. That includes several that you might regard as overly "clever"; for me, those ones are more about play (with language and concepts) than about showing off, per se. There are definitely some failures in there as well, but I have a fidelity to keeping the construction as a whole intact.

Very cool.
Has anyone reached out to you through Craigslist as a result of any of these poems?

I used to do this in the San Francisco missed connections and never archived them anywhere. Mine started as a cathartic way to deal with a breakup. It worked. I also met some cool people this way.
poetry is so fucking subjective like all art... my one piece of constructive criticism is that in some of the works, it feels like you might be reaching for words to be clever when I'd much rather hear your real voice.
