The Book of Urizen
A handy tumblr site that contains William Blake's incredible 1794 work of art/literature/prophecy "The Book of Urizen" in its entirety.

The fully illustrated version is presented one panel at a time; you can see the hi-res scans individually by clicking the tiny arrow that appears above each panel as you view. There's also a plain text version (with links to each illustration, so you can peek as you read).

Basically I just got tired of hunting for versions of this book online or searching Google for hi-res scans, and decided to create my own resource. Also, I'd always wanted to find a fun use for this particular Tumblr theme. Hope you enjoy!

Amazing, hermitosis, amazing. did you have to scan these yourself?

Thanks! I did scan all these, yes. The color/tone is true to the set of prints that I have (though I am working on a corrected version just for my own viewing pleasure).

Thank you for introducing me to this amazing book... but it's a shame it's on Tumblr which is difficult to read through like an ebook.

You're welcome! It really should be something interactive like an iPad app. As it is, all the ebook versions I've seen have been woefully inadequate.

Is there any way you can get your hi res expand to fill the window along its longest axis by clicking on the image? If I want to see the full sized image I have to click three times and I had to guess what I needed to click to get there.

Otherwise this is fantastic.

Yeah it's definitely at least one step more complicated than I'd prefer; I don't know how to alter the theme to make this happen, I'd prefer that even clicking the arrow over the expanded image takes you straight to the hi-res scan, but I haven't managed to find a way to override the theme yet.
