Oscar Contest 2012
I can't believe it's been TEN years of doing this! As always, I'm hosting an Oscar "Pick 'Em" contest over at my website. Every year the winner receives a custom, one-of-a-kind sock monkey creation. (Previously: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011.) This year's prize is everyone's favourite avenging Swedish goth hacker Lisbeth Salander. Yes, I made the Sock Monkey with the Dragon Tattoo. She has piercings, combat boots, a Macbook, and a golf club. (She's also my first soft toy that may qualify as NSFW.) Everyone is welcome to enter the contest!

Okay, your monkeys are awesome. I entered to see if I will miss every single one and to confirm that I hadn't seen any of the movies. (Puss in Boots and The Muppets saved me there. I saw a few grown up movies last year, I swear.)

Those are wonderful sock monkeys!

The fact that I saw exactly two of the Oscar contenders (Girl w the Dragon Tattoo and Bridesmaids) did not prevent me from entering. I couldn't resist the siren song of that awesome sock monkey.
