I found my 808's artistic sweet spot in low light, high speed compositions, where it lends a painterly or rotoscoped effect.
I recommend the 808 #11 for its true HD (1280x720) resolution, lack of timestamp, smarter battery charging, serviceable webcam mode, and digestible .mov video format.
This is fun! I like the Starry Starry Bike moment at 1:38. posted by cashman at 7:13 AM on October 10, 2011
Love it, and the music fits perfectly with the twitchy distortiness of the camera. Great piece, and I'm glad to have provided some of the inspiration. posted by sonascope at 10:50 AM on October 10, 2011
That was nifty, cheers, especially liked the shot of the gears changing and the music. Makes a refreshing change from the usual 'in the grim future of bicycle commuting there is only war' bike-cam vids. posted by SyntacticSugar at 1:52 AM on October 12, 2011
I liked your film :) It inspired me to go buy a similar camera, but I got a #3... if it works out well I might pick up a #11 later, but the little ten-dollar one I bought right now will do. Thanks! posted by Iteki at 2:14 PM on November 5, 2011
