Searchable Map of Chicago TIF Projects
I teamed up with a group of Columbia College journalism students to document, research and map Chicago's 171 Tax Increment Financing (TIF) projects authorized by the city from Jan. 1, 2000, through July 30, 2010.
The map is powered by Google's Fusion Tables and allows you to search by project, address year, amount and project type.
Used as a companion to articles written by the New York Times, Chicago News Cooperative and ChicagoTalks.
