Cats on Macs
Just what it sounds like: This is a site devoted to pictures of cats (and kitties, kittens, kittehs, ketselehs, etc...) on Macs (and associated hardware).
I think null terminated probably started pulling together his cats in Christmas trees site right around the time I finally got around to creating this. Yay synchronicity! But I actually got the idea for Cats on Macs back in 2009, when one of my coworkers sent around a photo of his parents' new kitten, Baby, lounging on a lime iMac. I Googled "cats on Macs," and at the time, the Cats love Macs Flickr pool wasn't that big, and it seemed like there were only a few scattered collections of cat-on-Mac photos.
I bought the domain that September—and sat on it for a year. Finally, on Black Friday, I decided to sit down, bang out a CSS template for Blosxom, and get Cats on Macs out into the world. It was done that afternoon.
This project follows in the footsteps of such fine MeFite cat sites as cortex's Look At This Cat! and Cobbler's Random Kitten Generator. It is in no way affiliated with Apple, and I'm definitely not shilling for them—I just think cats on Macs are cute!
Anyway, I know, I know: Less talk, more cats. I welcome your cat submissions!

Like many "cats doing X" blogs, inexplicably entertaining! Thanks. Cat on Mac submitted!

My head just exploded from the cuteness. I think I must have at least one picture to submit lying around somewhere.

Oh no—sorry about that, brownpau. I wonder if I set the size limit too low for the contact form... It's limited to 5 MB right now. I tested it, and JPGs should work if they're under that.
What should I raise the limit to, you think?

Oh, and I forgot to say, there's also a Cats on Macs Twitter account you can follow, if you want to know when more cats are added, send me cute cat links, etc. I haven't gotten the site's RSS up and running yet, alas—won't take long to do, just haven't done it yet.

I was using a 500px 116KB JPG image, so file upload size limit wasn't a factor. I wonder if the .jpeg (rather than .jpg) extension was a factor. In any case, I see Pandora is up there now so we're all good!

You're right—that would've done it. I just added .jpeg to the list of allowed extensions. Thanks for the heads up!
