Josh Millard, Musician
My new music blog and archive. I've spent the last several weeks collecting and organizing several hundred recordings I've made by myself and with others in the last fourteen years or so, and this is the result.

I've organized songs by year, author, cover, etc, and also created a hierarchy of projects and collaborations over time.

There's a lot of work left to do annotating individual songs, but the recordings are available now and I'll be hammering away at additional content over time.

I've wanted for a while now to carve out a personal music space separate from and supplemental to my participation at Metafilter Music; there are some things (particularly older recordings or personal details) that I probably wouldn't throw at the Mefi community, and having a sandbox where I can really fiddle with and cross-reference things in general to my heart's content has been an attractive idea in any case.

Very nice! I salute you sir, but there's a not-so-pretty part of me that is fiercely envious of your dedication and talent... :)

This is gonna be something I'm really going to need to spend some time with, I'm sure. Thanks for creating something that's gonna eat up all my spare time this weekend, you talented jerk.

This is a great project, BUT I really hate the wordpress theme that you're using. Please make your links blue, something anything to make it not just black and white only.

Yeah, I plan to throw in a bit more color over time. There's so much to do on the whole thing that I've been trying not to bog down too much on the stylesheet stuff so far; it's nearly unmodified from the original theme, which was designed with that very sort of minimalist, no-color look in mind I guess.

Now, I haven't listened to any songs from the site, but based on the few songs of yours I've heard on mefimusic, I have no doubt whatsoever that buried in this site is enough fantastic original music to fill the number of CDs that your average famous record-company-backed supergroup produces over the life of their career. I look forward to digging it out and listening to it. If making music regularly makes you a musician, you sir are a musician of the highest order.
