Not a particularly original idea at this point, but my art history survey students are contributing to a blog this semester about the relationship between the course material and their lives. My inspiration was Metafilter, and my hope was that these intro students would in turn inspire each other to think more closely about the relationship between art, history, life, and its visual experience. So far I've been surprised at the thoughtfulness of some of the posts and comments, so I thought I'd share.
