Flash game: Starcom
I just launched my second completed Flash game: Starcom, a space-based action adventure. Pilot a starship defending the galaxy from an encroaching enemy invasion with an increasingly powerful array of armaments and technologies.
My original inspiration of the game was the old DOS "Starflight" with some Diablo meets Battlestar Galactica mixed-in.
The game took a ridiculous amount of time to make, somewhere between 500-600 hours (it was an ambitious undertaking for my second Flash game) including coding, artwork, sounds, gameplay, etc. The only thing I can't take credit for is the wonderful musical score, which is courtesy of Justin Durban.
If you have a Kongregate account, I'd appreciate a rating, since it's in the running for their weekly and monthly game contest. Hope you enjoy it!

That was pretty much the coolest game I've played today, and I've been playing inFamous on the PS3 today. The amount of time you've put into it is very self-evident, as it's a great, engaging and most importantly fun game. The only criticism I have is that the soundtrack needs more variety. The track you have is excellent, don't get me wrong, but by the fifth or sixth time I heard it, I started to crave some musical variety.
Still, this was fan-fucking-tastic, and I'm gonna post it to Metafilter now, so hopefully even more people will get to enjoy this neat gem you've made and help you out in the monthly game contest over at Kongregate.
